The river Isla meanders its way through the Strathmore valley until it joins the river Ericht at the top of the beat. The River Isla at Coupar Grange is not your typical Isla, as it falls 50 feet over the length of the beat which means there are some excellent runs and pools for both fly fishing and spinning.
75% of fish caught at Coupar Grange will be caught on the fly, but spinning also works well in high water. From the bottom of the beat the River Isla levels itself out then drops another 50 foot over 8 miles where it joins the river Tay.
Coupar Grange beat has 2 miles of double bank fishing, and with over 12 pools there is plenty of space to fish. Day tickets are sold on a daily basis. Fishing is available from Monday to Saturday and rods are priced between £25 and £100 per rod,
Coupar Grange fishes with 8 rods plus a house rod per day , if the rods are not sold that day an evening ticket will be available.
